2013 Spring BETA Testing.

Europa II: the Dark Age is currently online for open beta testing.

FIRST, we HIGHLY suggest you download and install Skywing's Client Extender, found at the top right of his NWN-Server-List page -> www.nwnlist.com/

This will allow you to access Skywing's replacement for the now defunct Gamespy (thanks a million...Atari...humpht). Europa is listed on the new site in the PW-Action category.

Things to BETA test?!
* Quests, journal entries and their rewards.
* Crafting, Foraging and Career systems.
* Material Spawns and creature spawns.
* Mercenaries.
* ANYTHING else you can find.

Hellenath is fully ready for questing, crafting and testing. Other cities are developed to varying degrees with more to be added by mid June.

When i created a character a had a message that I have something restricted to play it. Ckecking files is soooo slow there though.
I took:
Earth Genasi
Fighter
Weapon focus
Luck of Heroes
Tumble, Lore, Intimidate.

All clases from Kaedrin pack without any text, I guess they are disabled, but Tumble is a class skill on Fighter like in Kaedrin.

Hi Mystic.
- I see that you logged in and have 3 characters made, 2 are named Grizzly/Grizzzly, and one Knight. However, the nwnx4 login database records no access by your username, so I am going to assume you could not successfully get past the character creation stage, correct?

- I tried creating the following character:
Earth Gernasi male, fighter, weapon focus longsword, luck of heroes, intimidate, lore, parry and tumble at 4 each. All other options I used defaults or the first choice as offered. I was able to log into the game and function normally...

- You mention the Kaedrin pack...? I am going to assume that it is "Kaedrin's PrC Pack v1.42.1", which would certainly cause server login issues since our server restricts some items. The error message certainly sounds like an item conflicts between your client side and our server side. The same happens to players who tried to sneak in with items that are restricted, custom made or illegal for their lvl. Kaedrin's pk grandfathers items to players and has a significant amount of custom content. Not only would it conflicts with our current hacks on that aspects, Kaedrin has also made a public announcement that he did not appreciate what some PWs had done with his content. I fully respect his choices and support it. We are not on his list of approved PWs for the use of his content (see: nwn2customcontent.forumotion.com/t367-changes-for-the-new-year#1471 ), as we would have to modify said content for it to work with our current custom haks.

- In short mystic, sorry, but your initial suspicions may very well be correct, and after creating and logging in from 3 separate computer using your same formula, I was successful on all attempts. If you chose not to remove the Kaedrin pak, that is up to you, but we have/will not be using on Europa II. ...Sorry.

...UPDATE: June 12th/2013.
~ I will be taking the server down today in stead of Friday. I have an opportunity to move the equipment to the new location earlier, so I might as well take advantage of it.
~ I still plan to get the server back up and running on the 18th or soon thereafter, in as so long as the ISP does their part right.

Hi, Erik! Yes, I couldnt get past the character creation stage. To remove and install Kaedrin pack back again is a matter of a few seconds, so next time Ill try to log in without it.

I removed Kaedrin and was successfully logged in.

I took a quest for delivering package for Semih in the bazaar, but Semih doesnt talk to me when Im clicking on him, although I have the package in the inventory.
Also, when I talked to that guy who gave me the quest, there was words about I found cargo and something else, like two different quests I finished, when I choosing to say that, he says thanks bla-bla-bla, but nothing happens, no money or xp.

And in this town ( Buyusuluk) I tried to go to the sewers but nothing happens when I click on it. I chose *break* in RC menu, so I broke the sewers and the entrance dissapeared =)

I'm happy to hear and see that you logged on successfully. It's worth noting that the Kaedrin pak causes a login conflict at character creation.

Only Hellenath has completed quest sets. I have been very busy teaching at the University this summer and have not had the opportunity to complete the quests in the cities of Buyuculuk, Gaellen or Scavallan. I also moved into our new house this month and there are literally tens of chores that need to be done to get everything ready. I apologize for the quest delays (to you and all the test players). What I need are clones, many clones... lol

I hope that in June/July I will get to some concrete quest development in the other 3 cities. I have the ideas and journal entries ready, just waiting for the conversations and scripts. I will also be eliminating all inventory items from future quests, making them all journal based, unless part of the quest require an item (such as the discovery quests).

If you are still available for beta testing, I could really use some feedback on the Hellenath quests. Any issues, suggestions or feedback on the content, flow and such would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, sure Ill play there. I dont play much now though. I dont like RP servers but I like action. But action servers only a few and one of them yours, so I'll play there from time to time =)
